Consumer Interface Unit(CIU): When the meters are not mounted in the consumer Premises and access to the meters is not given to the meter; it is essential to provide the consumer, information on metering and to enable them to recharge the meters using tokens. For this purposes, a Consumer interface Unit (CIU) is used. This is a device used to view / access the display parameters of the meter and token ent
Soft Token Transfer Device(STTD): To make this token charging activity more user friendly, Soft Token Transfer Device(STTD) is used to transfer tokens generated from the vending station / PC to the Pre-Payment meter. The STTD is USB (pen drive) like device. The tokens are transferred to this STTD from the vending station/PC. This STTD is then connected to the Consumer Interface Unit (CIU) through which the token is transferred to the pre-payment meter. It provides the consumers with an easy to use method to transfer the tokens to the meter without any error it also avoids manual entering of tokens from the keypad.
